Good luck Maddy!

Wed. was a great Tea Party and celebration to send Maddy M. off to her new adventures in Idaho. We will sure miss her! The girls were all so sweet with what they said to her in circle. We had lots of snacks and of course tea and pink lemonaide. Thank you to Karlie for the apples, grapes and crumb cake. :) The little tea cups were from my grandma. She wanted to get all the girls a cup they could keep and planned on attending the party as well. Sadly, she passed away on the 23rd. I had a couple girls ask why "Gee Gee" couldn't make it when I told the troop where the cups came from and that they could keep them. I did not want to share about her not being here any longer, so I just said she wasn't able to make it. I was afraid it would upset them if they have not had an experience with a family member dying. Just wanted you to know in case they mentioned it.
I hope they all had as much fun as I did! We are so lucky to have so many caring, sweet girls in our troop.
Go troop 1460!!

Dance/Girly Girlz info.

Friday Updates:
We will meet the girls getting rides to Girly Girlz at parent pick-up. I have Kalyn, Skye, & Kayla (Riding with Tisha) and Erin, Madison C. and Alexis (Riding with Shannon)
Girly Girlz – it starts at 3:45pm sharp officially, but try to be there by 3:30ish in case there is traffic. The address is 15425 N. Scottsdale Rd. #240 Scottsdale, AZ 85254. Meet inside the store.
Dinner at the dance– there will be no dinner served. Just light refreshments, so please feed your girls dinner before the dance.
What time does the dance officially start? 7pm-9pm with check in starting at 6:45pm. St. Rose Church (2825 W. Rose Canyon Circle Anthem, AZ)
Where are the dads meeting the girls? I am taking my girl home after Girly Girlz to eat a quick dinner and then David is driving her to the dance. Tell your husbands to find each other at the dance or carpool ;)
Can the dads wear a shirt and slacks? Yes, they said wear anything they want. Coat and tie are optional and will be more rare than nice slacks and a nice shirt. The theme is Winter Wonderland.
Bring money if they want their photos taken at the dance. $10 for 2-5x7s I think. More can be ordered online after the dance.
Bring 2 cans of food per person if you did not already give me yours at the last meeting.

Nutritional Speaker

Today we were lucky enough to join the Daisy Scouts for a special speaker on Nutrition. The girls were happy to have the heathly snacks they served. It was veggies and fruit with dips made from Greek yogurt. One dip had honey, vanilla extract and cinnamon and the other had a ranch mix in it. In our class before heading out, they also had a variety of cheeses, 100% natural crackers from Sprouts and lots of strawberries. They love snacks! Haha. :)

I paid for the dance tonight, so the 32 people going are all set. If you were not able to give me your 4 cans of food (2 per person attending) yet, please bring them to the dance and give them at the door.

I am excited for all of the great things going on this month.

See you soon!
